Excerpt: Based on our phone conversation on July 28, 2003, we are deactivating Targhee NF - Alpine Campground as a public water system (PWS) and, therefore, you are no longer required to comply with Federal drinking water regulations. Since the campground and the 4-H camp are one and the same, it is only necessary to keep one system active. According to our conversation, along with Mr. Mike Sposit’s input, the operator at the Alpine 4-H Camp will take two coliform samples each quarter during the open season - one at the 4-H Camp and one at the Alpine Campground. The 4-H Camp will also be responsible for one nitrate test each year.
